Inshore and Nearshore Fishing Charters

Inshore Fishing Charters

Inshore fishing trips target species such as trout, redfish, flounder, black drum, and sheepshead. Some days certain species will be better than others, so as much as I would like to do “species on demand”, you’re much better served by playing the hand we’re dealt. That might mean a mixed bag today and all trout tomorrow. You just never know.

We’ll be fishing mainly areas on the west side of the islands in protected waters. We do occasionally go to the beach side to fish for trout or tripletail if needed and the crew is willing.

Our inshore tackle is primarily comprised of spinning gear with live shrimp under a popping cork. At times we will switch to artificial offerings such as grubs, DOA shrimp, or topwater plugs if conditions and crew size allow for it. Inshore trips are offered for up to 4 anglers with 4, 6, and 8 hour options.

Nearshore Fishing Charters

Nearshore fishing charters are exactly what they sound like. We’re fishing on the ocean side of the islands but typically well within sight of land. These trips, depending on the season, target shark, tarpon, bull redfish, tripletail, and sometimes spanish mackerel.

On good weather days we might venture out a little further to target species such as cobia, king mackerel, barracuda, and a variety of bottom fish.

Nearshore trips can accommodate up to 6 anglers and trips range are offered for 4, 6, or 8 hours. It is best to discuss with the captain which would be ideal for your crew.
